Maybe I'm Just Getting Old

So I was coming home from work last night on the train, working on a word-search puzzle...  when suddenly a passenger threw up in the car that I was in. Of course the guy sitting across from me (clearly a gen-Y member) had to get everybody to notice: "A-ha! Nice going! That's great...!" and then other under-30 passengers started hollering and laughing their a**es off. I sat there looking at my word-search booklet and thinking, 'What the hell is so funny about a young woman sick from drinking too much?'- but clearly other people were getting a good laugh out of it. The sick (very sick) girl was obviously embarrassed, and looked ready to pass out as she and her friends darted off the car at the next stop. The smell of her throw-up was nauseating, and the young people couldn't stop laughing and saying that 'it really smells like sh*t in here'. I know that I am getting on in years, and I am well out of my 20's; but even as a young person I don't ever remember 'getting off' on watching somebody get sick. I left the train feeling quite disgusted - and the snickers and language coming from the twenty-somethings in the car was just as sickening to me as the smell of the lingering puke.
